Clarifications when starting out

Hey guys,

Im receiving a lot of conflicting information from different people, just hoping you guys can help 😉

Im 23, applied for my theory test and I believe I selected the A licence category. Nothing was mentioned about age restrictions when applying but now i see ndls.ie says ive to be minimum 24 or go through progressive access, which im not doing. Is this going to be an issue?

Ive been looking at sv650’s since i dont want to have grow out of a 250, I do know why its recommended to go that route but id rather not. People have been telling me id never get insurance or I’d have to have it restricted. However, I got quotes from liberty insurance using my correct date of birth, rang up and they confirmed it would be fine (I did not ask about restricting the bike though) Thoughts on this?

Only one more question i promise :biggrin_old:

Is it legal to ride a bike that has had the gauges removed and how dodgy is it? The claim is that he removed the fairings for a street fighter look. Ive been told stay away from that kind of business

Thanks guys
