Hi guys,

I’m 22 years old and I’m looking at buying my first motorbike. Ive identified a Hornet 250 as the best candidate. I’ve spotted one for sale and have arranged with the seller to view it soon. However, I’m a bit hesitant. It’s probably the fact that I’m very new to this game and am worried that I’ll be swindled out of a lot of cash.

I am going to get a mechanic to have a look at the bike and hopefully he’ll say it looks good. It’s a 1996 and looks in good nick with low mileage.

Any advice/recommendations for someone like me buying their first bike, bearing in mind I have little mechanical knowledge?
