Yo. Used to frequent these internet parts years ago when I used to be a biker. Might be reintroducing a motorsickle to the household again in the form of a commuter bike for my wife. She has her full licence from ten years ago and rode an er5 for a good while. Anyway, I’m going around the virtual houses looking at what might be a good safe, easy to handle commuter for her and get her feet on the ground on. The hornet 250 is touted as a great beginner machine. I’m just not sure of those few horses being spread over such a wide rev range, particularly around town where you need darty accessible poke on demand, not boil the kettle wait for 15000 rpm to come around sort of thing… 🙂

Anyway, Ive seen all the vids, read the reviews, what id really like is to hear from someone who had one or has one.

Other than that you can guess what else I’m looking at – all the usuals from yzf125r’s to mt03’s er6’s, 650cs&gs, cbf500/600, ninja 250

Abs would be nice too, but the main thing has to be easy, manageable, confidence-inspiring manoeuverability, as well as acceptable power and road presence to hold her own in traffic.

Maybe even a 250+ maxi scoot…

Would love owner / rider input, especially shorter or female riders.
