Just wondering if it’s possible to get a restrictor cert w/o having to actually get a bike restricted? I’m planning on doing my test this summer on a Kawasaki ER5. Since the max power output for the A2 license is 35 kW the bike is just falling outside of this at 35.8 kW so technically it should be restricted down to meet this, but it’s pretty annoying having to part with cash to make such a negligible difference.

If the cert can’t be produced w/o having it restricted, would you be able to recommend any garages around the Midlands/ West that fit restrictor kits? How much am I looking at it roughly to get it done?
