After the wave of two years ago, when several houses have renewed their super ushering in the new generation, we did not believe that so soon we would see another new invasion in the industry. One area suffering of sales for many different reasons, but able to make more inroads into the hearts of fans, who may buy other models but they continue to dream of the super sports car to make darting between the curbs or bends of the preferred step.

Instead, the Euro-4 arrival has forced all manufacturers (except Ducati, which keeps the Euro-3 approval on Panigale making official the arrival of a new model for 2018) to update or revolutionize their own models, creating 2017 different models in a more or less sensitive than the previous ones. Different approaches, surely due to different business strategies that have defined a variety of views and value as not seen since before the financial crisis at the end of two thousand years, the main cause of the decline of the sector.

We could not pass up the opportunity to riproporvi a clash last among the seven detached supersport 2017, this time set in the spectacular theater of Paul Ricard . A complete circuit, with the fast straight Mistral but also a nice selection of curves of different speeds , able to emerge in a macroscopic qualities and defects of a sports maxi. A test where we put all competitors on an equal level turning to Pirelli to wear them all with Diablo Supercorsa SC2 , probably the most versatile rubber segment thanks to the development carried out in World Superbike with all the homes involved. Why not slick Diablo Superbike , maybe those SC3 we had tried to Alcarràs few months ago ? Unfortunately one of the houses he was not granted the authorization to take the measure 200 to the rear, linking us to the fact his hands and forcing us to “settle” the sculpted, of which we speak a bit ‘better in the article .

Seeing as though these bikes run so on the most beautiful tracks in the world (many of whom are here in Italy) but is unleashed just as often on less ambitious circuits but equally convincing and fun, we decided to put them to the test even the Cremona Circuit dedicated to Angelo Bergamonti, to test our driving impressions in a different theater and with the original equipment tires.

To complete our test technical analysis of motorsports masterpieces that draw them toward work of our Massimo Clarke , but also the inevitable in the time trial. This time, to level the field as much as possible, we turned to Pirelli asking the assistance of their flagship test, Alfio Tricomi (of which we had already checked the speeds on different occasions …). Who better than him, he already knows all the bikes and of course the tires, could bring them to the limit without suffering habits established in competitive sports? Let’s see how it went …

How they are made

Already said of engine technology (through the piece of Massimo Clarke ) pass to a quickview to freshen up the memory of electronics and cycling equipment where, apart from the Ducati with its monocoque motor carrier that provides a reference lightness, witnessing a certain technical approval to the scheme chassis section of the twin-spar aluminum.
