How’s it going lads and ladies

Just looking for opinions.

So the summers on its way, and apart from my winter/work hack Xmax 125, I’ve been without a bike since last summer. I’m in the market for a new bike to enjoy the blistering summer we’re bound to get. In 20 years of riding bikes I’ve never owned anything bigger than a 600, CBR600RR, Hornet 600, GSXR6oo and the like. Originally I was starting to think about a CBR1000RR 2007-2008 shape, but the more and more I look in to things like insurance and overall cost of the bike, I’m starting to side more to the 600 market again. I loved the 600RR so I’m seriously thinking about rekindling a lost love.

So opinions please, am I missing out on anything by sticking to 600’s?
