There are some stupid and dangerous cagers out there, but have to say there are some real gobshites on motorbikes.

Was on the push bike today (I know, one of those, it’s my way of keeping the beer belly away) with my brother cycling between Trim and Summerhill. Nice day, fair few bikes out, all good. CBR600RR passes us out at speed, making ‘good progress’, leaves us plenty of space, not a problem. Grand wide section of road, no fuss.

A short while after, long enough that it didn’t look like the two bikes were riding together, unless trailing rider was trying to catch up, or assert his dominance on the road, another bike heads past us.

No exaggeration, he was travelling at least 120mph plus. This was like being beside the NW200 riders, but no hedge between you. Didn’t even leave us much space even though both sides of road were clear. Got that sensation of air like you get standing at the stop when a train drives clear through.

Normally I can tell the make and model of every bike that I see on the road, didn’t get time with this one. Best guess an older Tuono, exhausts on either side I think anyway.

Don’t get me wrong, have no problem with bikes making progress, but this was just stupid. Lots of houses on that road with cars potential exiting onto the road. Lots of farms with tractors and machinery. This guy had zero chance of avoiding a collision if he met anything. If either of us had moved to our right to avoid a pot hole we would have been toast.

Anyway, if you are on the forum, cop yourself on, and in the immortal words of John Waters, you’re a nothing but a fucking bollox.
