Help needed !!! Moped question

Help needed !!! Moped question

Howye lads I wonder if someone can help me.

My boss is driving a honda pantheon fes 125.

He went out this evening and she wouldnt start. Its an electric starter with no kick. The lights are all on but when you hit the button there is nothing but a single click.

I just checked an online manual and as far as i can see the battery is located on the right side beside the footwell.

I have jumpstarted "proper" geared bikes before and obviously you can push start but you cant with mopeds. If i hook it up to a cage battery would that do the trick. Having checked online it says hook up the leads except for the black lead to the moped battery, instead find a ground (unpainted metal) to attach to and also ensure that the cage aint running or it could blow the battery on the ped altogether.

If anyone could point me in the right direction here it would be much appraciated. I look forward to your replies.
