I’m close to buying a 1290 super adventure that has no alarm fitted.

If I buy a factory KTM alarm and plug it into to bike, (apparently they are plug and play) would my insurance company cover me in the unfortunate event of theft? If I declare the bike has a factory alarm.

Or

Do I have to get a pro to fit it and certify it?
