I am about to purchase a Triumph Bonneville, I’ve got my eyes on two models, both from the North (different dealers). Either way it’s got to be delivered via van (long story but I cannot go up there, so I am buying unseen).

This one is a 2010 Bonneville with 4,990 miles

price is £4299 + £150 van.

It’s got appealing extras (crash bars, screen, carrier rack), _but_ THREE previous owners. Also two sets of keys, Haynes manual & handbook.

The other is a 2012 Bonneville “SE” with 3287 miles


price is £4,999 + £??? van (don’t know that yet).

It’s got no extras, but only ONE owner, and the SE has a bit more features and is 2 years more recent. However the price is substantially higher and 3,287 miles is 5,290km so there is a VRT/VAT issue (can this be sorted out?).

I would like to place an order asap if possible so I would be very grateful for your opinions?. Which one (or neither?!) would you get??
