Guy Martin to race at 2017 Cookstown 100

Following wild speculation and rumours in recent weeks, the Cookstown and District Motor Cycle Club can confirm Guy Martin will compete in next month’s KDM Hire Cookstown 100, which takes place on April 28-29.

The 35 year old racer, equally famous for his epic TV fails, will compete in both the Open and Cookstown 100 feature races on board the all new SP2 Honda Fireblade in Superstock trim.

Having taken a year out of racing to study the mating habits of the cave squeaker frog in Zimbabwe, Martin has now refocused his efforts on road racing in order to prepare for the upcoming Isle of Man TT races in June.

“fascinating little buggers, did you know they like tea?” he said.

Martin’s entry for the Cookstown 100 is sure to attract a large contingent of homosexuals from Irish road racing circles, where organising clubs are concerned about the extra influx of autograph hunters breaking down barriers and escalating insurance costs.
