So im accelerating on the Deauville…. (when you stop laughing and rolling around on the floor, continue reading please) …. but anyway, wanted to know if this is normal?

Ill go to change gear,

select gear, twist the throttle and release the clutch to accelerate, the needle will initially spike up to 5/6000 rpm for a couple of seconds but the bike isn’t accelerating, then needle will drop back a few thousand revs and the bike will kick in… is this normal or should I get it checked out? Im a new rider and just getting used to the bike.

I thought that if i’m in a gear and twist, that the back wheel should respond immediately, not this spike and drop ?
