I see a lot of new cages are being fitted with this safety system.

A radar detects vehicles approaching fast from behind and/or in the Blind spot then signals same to the driver on his/her mirrors.

An audible signal triggers if the driver indicates to change lane while there is another vehicle in the blind spot.

This should make things a bit safer for Bikes on the motorways.( M50 and M7/N7 especially )
