TWENTY employees at an insurance company have apparently changed their names to Jonathan Rea in celebration of the Kawasaki rider winning the 2015 World Superbike Championship last Sunday.

The staff were so elated at Rea’s victory that they changed their names by deed poll, according to bike insurance firm Carole Nash.

The company sent us pictures of five of the new Jonathan Reas. We asked for the names of the other 15, but it all got a bit confusing.

A spokesman for the firm said: ‘Carole Nash is a longstanding sponsor of Jonathan Rea and to celebrate his WSBK title, staff from the Dublin office have recently changed their name by deed poll…so now the 20 of them are known as Jonathan Rea.’

We posted the news on our Facebook page, where one reader wrote: ‘This is the dumbest s**t I have ever read.’
