AFTER winning both races at Brands Hatch this weekend, Milwaukee Yamaha’s Josh Brookes has closed the gap to the Championship lead to 5-points. 

Shane ‘Shakey’ Byrne, who crashed out of race one, now has Brookes threatening his Championship chances as he closes in on him after the sixth round. 

James Ellison is currently third for the GBmoto team with PBM Kawasaki’s Stuart Easton in fourth, however after crashing out of race one, the PBM rider lower leg fracture and ligament damage to his knee and therefore will not be racing in the next couple of races at leasts. 

The next round of the Championship takes place in two weeks at Thruxton.
