Evans has promised more bikes on Top Gear

CHRIS Evans has said Top Gear will feature more motorcycles when he takes over as host of the BBC’s flagship motoring programme.

Evans made the promise this morning in a Tweet, two days after signing a three-year deal to head a new presenter line-up on the show.

The DJ wrote: ‘There will be more motorbikes on the new Top Gear. Do you think we should go to The TT?’

However, he also Tweeted: ‘Hovercraft/motorbike, motorbike/hovercraft. Car show ? Er – lunar module ??? Anyone ??? Jet ski ??? Anyone ??? Waiting. . . .’

And we don’t know what that means.

Evans has shown enthusiasm for bikes in the past, giving them airtime on his Radio 2 show and undertaking bike training himself several years ago.

Bookies’ odds on road racer Guy Martin joining Evans as a Top Gear presenter are 6/1.
