Kawasaki unveils 2016 road range at Eicma
KAWASAKI has just formally unveiled its complete 2016 road bike range.
The J125 scooter is a brand new model and expands Kawasaki’s 2016 lineup alongside some special editions of existing models. The first of these are the new ‘Sugomi Editions’ of the Z800 and Z1000. The Sugomi Z-series bikes get a black and burgundy colour scheme with red anodized detailing and model-sepcific Akrapovic silencers.
The new ZX-10R has been given similar treatment and when it goes on sale in 2016, will be available as a ‘Winter Edition’. The Winter Edition ZX-10 is a replica of Jonathan Rea and Tom Sykes’ winter testing bikes, and looks classy with a matt black paint job with white detailing. It features a KRT snowflake logo and Japanese ‘fuyu’ character, which means winter. Maybe the more restrained paint will make the new ZX-10R more appealing to all the people who criticised its graphics when it was first made public. The Winter Edition also gets an Akrapovic silencer as standard.
Kawasaki also unveiled another supercharged concept image – there’s a separate story on it here, and during the middle of October it announced updates to the ZZR1400.
