MotoGP 2015 Championship standings after Assen

VALENTINO Rossi still leads the 2015 MotoGP Championship by 10-points ahead of his Movistar Yamaha team-mate Jorge Lorenzo. 

After another sensational win by Rossi, the Italian remains the Championship leader ahead of his Lorenzo with Ducati’s Andrea Iannone a further 46-points behind Marquez. 

Marquez remains in fourth after finishing second at Assen with 89-points, 74-points behind Championship leader Rossi. Marquez’s Repsol Honda team-mate is currently down in 10th with only 47-points. 

Closely following Marquez in the standings is Ducati’s Andrea Dovizioso who is now currently only 2-points adrift of the Spaniard. 

British riders Bradley Smith and Cal Crutchlow are in sixth and seventh respectively. Smith is 10-points behind Dovizioso whilst Crutchlow is a further 20-points behind Smith. 

The next round of the 2015 MotoGP Championship takes place in seven weeks at the Indianapolis Motor Speedway circuit.
