Tron Light Cycle up for auction

Tron Light Cycle up for auction

A FULLY functioning replica of a Light Cycle from the film Tron will soon be going up for auction.

Expected to go for between £16,700 – £26,700, the custom bike is powered by a 96 volt direct-drive electric motor running off lithium batteries.

It has a ride-by-wire throttle, adjustable suspension, hydraulic brakes and – according to RM Sotheby’s auction lot – is in complete working order and can be ridden.

The auctioneers said: ‘It is in as-new condition and would be an ideal piece for any collection of movie memorabilia. It is unlikely that a similar motorcycle will ever be produced or made available for purchase, making this a truly unique opportunity.’

The replica is part of a larger auction from the Andrews Collection, where a selection of 75 vehicles will go under the hammer on May 2 in Texas.
