The brother has restored an old Triumph TR6 650, 1966, that has being off the road and not taxed for the last 9 years, he went in today to tax it and was told there is 9 years back tax to be paid on it, €26 is now €230.

I know we didnt sign the form to say that it would be of the road,

any advice on getting around it,
