So I’ve finally gotten an opportunity to get myself a bike. I am 25 yo, got A cat. provisional licence. Booking my IBT next friday, for the next available date.

Like some, my first thought was a 600 supersport, which I have reconsidered after extensive research. Then I realised that k8 gixxers have a c-mode. Reconsidered it again.. (for now). So at the moment I am choosing between 3 bikes:

Er6n (2012 at least), XJ6n (2009+) or Bandit 650 (2010+)

I am looking to purchase before the end of the year and looking to spend up to and around 5 grand. (Could do up to 6 if the bike is good)

My preference is mostly with Er6n and XJ6. Does anyone have experience with these and advise whether they are completely different and which is more fun to ride ? This would not be a commuter bike or anything, purely to have some fun with it.

Another dilemma is looking for these. I have found a few XJ6s on donedeal, went over to Bikeworld, walked past Megabikes. The availability seems to be scarce. I realise that I am probably missing something major. So could anyone advise where else should I look. Should importing from NI be a consideration too? Perhaps someone here knows someone tht knows someone who has one of these for sale?
