Hi guys. I’m going out to buy my first bike and I have my heart set on a cruiser. I’ve whittled it down to 2 bikes. A ’93 Virago 535 or a ’96 Honda Shadow VLX600. Both have similar mileage and are similarly priced. I’m 6ft and broad so and I know the Virago might look a bit small on me. Is the Shadow much bigger? Anyone have experience of both? What are the pro’s and cons of each? And basically, which is the better bike? Or is it purely down to personal taste.

I will be using it mostly to commute with the odd weekend cruise.
