2016 Nifty Fifty Rules

RIDER EQUIPMENT RULES:


Helmets must be full face and must fit the rider correctly. Internal/flip up screens not allowed.


Helmets must have the Double D ring securing strap. No ratchet or clip type allowed. This is to comply with 2016 MCUI Rules.


Helmets must be less the 5 years old and must have stamp to prove this.


All riders must be over 18 years of age as of the 13/02/2016

One piece leathers must be worn. Motorcycle boots and gloves in good condition must be worn.

Each team must come to scrutiny with their bike, all 4 riders must be there also with their leathers and helmets for inspection.

Class 1:

Eligible motorcycles are as follows; Honda Cub/Club 50cc and 70cc and Yamaha T80.Machines are to remain standard as they would have left the factory. Non-standard machines will be moved to the Modified class.

This class is for STANDARD machines only.


Class 2:


Eligible motorcycles are as follows; This Class is for 90cc Honda Cub/Club only. Machines are to remain standard as they would have left the factory. Non-standard machines will be moved to the Modified class.

This class is for STANDARD machines only.

The following safety modifications must be made to all motorcycles in Class 1 and Class 2.

• Sump nut drilled and lock wired tight.

• Oil inspection cap drilled and lock wired tight. Race ready as per Ref: GCR 145 & 146.

• Lights and indicators taped over or removed.

• Centre and side stand, number plate and passenger footpegs removed.

• Any panniers and top boxes removed.

• Well engineered “rearsets” may be fitted to allow superior ground clearance.

• 3 clear Number plates to be securely fitted. One each side by rear shock and one at the front.


Class 3:


This class is for eligible motorcycles that have been modified from standard specification.

Eligible motorcycles are as follows; Honda Cub/Club 50/70/90cc and Yamaha T80 only.Motorcycles in this class must have standard engines, cycleparts, brakes, handlebars and wheels. No exceptions. All Classes are subject to a 90cc maximum cubic capacity limit. Motorcycles may be subject to capacity tests.

Machines in this class may modify the following parts only. All modifications must be well engineered and must pass technical inspection.

• Exhaust.

• Body work.

• Carburettor.

• Airbox.

• Rear shocks.
