A question than I should not have to ask!

A question than I should not have to ask!

Hello Everyone,

This is my first post here. I have done something incredibly stupid and need some advice.

I am 20 years old and have been riding for about a year, a little under in fact.
My first and only bike was a 2009 ninja 250, great bike, loads of fun etc. Now I want to do my A2 test so I can move up to larger bikes and little more quickly but obviously the ninja can’t be used for the test.

So, here comes the stupid part.
I was at a track and tried out a 1998 GSXR 600 SRAD, I fell in love, provisionally bought it from my mate there and then because it is just about restrict-able to A2 according to the power data sheet I got from Suzuki. So he got a restriction kit, got it fitted, got the bike a dyno report to prove it is restricted. (Yeah its dead in the low revs but it makes up for it). Bought the bike from him, paid the garages for the restriction (Bloody expensive), I even got him to tax it for a year.

So I tried getting insurance quotes from everyone – NOPE, I done have a grade 4 assessment from when I did my IBT, no help.

I know I screwed up here, but despite the 600 SRAD being ugly in the mind of some, I love the machine and it seems it may have bit me in the ass already.

How can I ride this bike now, can I just call liberty who insure my ninja and tell them I have bought a new bike and to change the insurance or will they also refuse.
