Has anyone done any adventure touring/riding courses that they’d recommend.

I’m planning to do some long distance adventure trips and wanna be equipped with the skills to tackle any roads or trails I come across on a 200kg+ bike, trip planning, road side maintenance etc.

Now I know there’s no substitute for good aul experience but just trying to get a head start.

I currently have a Tiger 800, may change next year for a newer one or an Africa Twin… But that’s neither here nor there…

Having done a bit of research they seem to only really be in the uk, the most prominent ones seem to be:

BMW Off Road Skills

Triumph Trail Quest

Adventure Bike Training Uk

MOTO Scotland (although they use dedicated enduro bikes)

BMW ORS seems to be the most popular but I wouldn’t necessarily buy into the hype, and I’d say it’s angled partly to sell you a GS.

They all seem to be around the same sorta money. Has anyone got any experience with any of these?
