Problem this year is that the missus in coming:crybaby::crybaby::crybaby:
Looking at two weeks around the Black Forest and Swiss/Austrian alps with herself on board for half of it – will head out on my own and collect her from an airport half way through…
Need to get a bike for the trip and don’t really know what to go for – budget will be limited, max 4k…
Motorways will be avoided throughout the trip…
Pillion comfort is the most important factor – she wouldn’t be used to long days on the bike…
Must have full hard luggage and a large capacity motor…
Been looking at ZZR1200’s, Blackbirds, Fazer 1000’s, Bandit 12’s but not sure how suitable they will be for herself…
A Pan would probably suit her but I reckon I’d die of boredom before I picked her up.
FJR1300 seems to be a better option…
Should I be looking at a GS?
How are they for pillion comfort?
What about a Vstrom?
Anything else I should be considering?
A higher budget would open up a lot more options but I don’t wanna spend too much on a bike I probably won’t be keeping much beyond this trip…
