I just want to get your opinion on this;

A relation of mine, 18 going on 19 shortly, has an EX 250F, 2006, really nice red bike, 24~cc, great for learning, well balanced etc.

He just bought the bike instead of the newer Kawasaki 250s because of the really nice red paint work and great feel to the bike.

He had previously got quotes for a 2008 ninja 250, the new models, 1000 euro TPFT or so with liberty, level 4 assessment and A2 learner.

Now here’s the killer, called liberty about getting insured on his 2006 bike, Not available for riders under 21!, called CN and got a quote of 1400 Third party only!, they don’t recognise rider assessment!

He’s a little shocked at the moment and feels quite stupid for making such a dumb assumption.

Can anyone here recommend another company we could try? and try to explain what is so special about the pre 2008 models?
