hows things lads?

im hoping to upgrade to a gsxr 600 in the near future and was just wondering if anybody who has/had one could give me some advice. when viewing one what do I have to look out for? do they give trouble in any particular areas? they have a reputation for not having the best finish – can they take a bit of abuse or will they fall apart at the first sign of a bit of bad weather?
