Hi hopefully someone here could help me. I’ve found a race bike in the UK that I’m strongly considering for next season. The problem is the guy selling it is in Hastings which is about 2 hours south of London. I would like to go over and look at it myself before buying but the problem is if I put the van on the ferry, drive all the way down and find something wrong it’s a lot of time and money wasted. Plan b would be to fly over and look at it (costing approx €150) and if it’s all good arrange someone to bring it over for me.

What do people think would be the cheaper or easier way of doing it? Or does anyone know of people who could check over the bike and get it on the ferry for me. I could pick it up on the other side then.
