Dealer service or DIY? Bike under warranty

Dealer service or DIY? Bike under warranty

So I have a 141 Triumph Street Triple R, just brought down from McCallens.

Its an ex-demo bike so I’m the first owner. Being 141, it’s still under manufacturers warranty.

I’ve just got a quote off Dublin Triumph for 260-270 yoyos for my 10,000km Service. According to the user manual the 10k service covers:

Replace Engine Oil
Replace Engine Oil Filter
Autoscan w Triumph Diagnostic Tool
Check for ABS Fault Codes
Check Spark Plugs
Balance Throttle Bodies
Edit: Plus the usual Inspect / Adjust cables, hoses, fluids, pads, chain, damage, etc etc

They’ll also upload the Arrow exhaust map as I’m going to change the end can before then & have de-catted it.

I normally do all of my own servicing / maintenance / tire changes / etc, and have receipts for everything down to bulbs kept in a file with the mileage and dates of installation written on them.

Given that I’d have to ride up from Galway and back down again, do ye think it’s worth paying for the dealer service for the sake of having the official stamp in the book? If you were buying a bike that had an owner made book of receipts and mileages/dates along with it, would ye consider that equal to a dealer stamp? I have oil & a filter bought already…
