Emailed Co. Co re: Poor road surface

A section of road near me has been repaired recently, with the usual loose chips left on top. Banged off an email earlier (see below)

Lets see what if any response I get.

“Hi,

Can you please forward this complaint to the correct department?

A section of the R521 between Ardagh & Shanagolden has recently been resurfaced.

A top layer of loose chippings has been left on the road, and as a motorcyclist, this is a hazardous way to leave a surface. The 4 wheeled traffic has pushed all the loose chippings towards the middle of each land, and this is the part of the road that we motorcyclist use.

It’s downright madness & dangerous.

Yes, there is signage advising loose chippings, but why can’t these stones be either collected or brushed into the hedgegrows.

It’s no fun trying to pick a 10″ line of road to keep a motorcycle on while oncoming traffic cause loose stones to be pelted of me.

This is the 21st century for crying out loud.

You won’t see this in any other European country.

Please act before this type of botched road repair causes a fatality.

Rgds,
