Hello All,

I am in the Market for a Leather Jacket, first of all I am looking at all the usual brands on their respective websites, Alpinestars, RST, Dainese, Furygan and so on.

I am wondering what is there to look out for when buying. I see it as an investment and don’t mind paying a little extra for something that will last me a good while and fits well. In saying that I am wanting to get bang for my buck and am wondering what ‘features’ or ‘selling points’ are really good or are just marketing hype.

Also where is the best shops around to get a jacket. I am looking for a good selection, also priced well, I am based in Galway but don’t mind a trip to Dubland or Limerick etc.
