Met these guys from Houston on a recent trip to the PCH. They rode their Groms from Miami to San Francisco. I met up with them at Half Moon Bay. They were on the road for 28 days with couple day stops in Denver and Las Vegas. These weren’t little guys, either.

I followed them from HMB to SF with the intention of getting a hotel were they were staying, and doing a bit of partying to celebrate the end of their adventure. No dice, hotels were booked for 2 weeks advance by the SF airport. I got their numbers and told them I’d keep in touch. Very nice dudes. I asked how they felt now that it’s all over. They looked a bit sad.

Groms performed flawlessly being WOT all day for a month. They changed the oil once. The lighter guy had the one with exhaust and lowered/stretched. He would slowly pull away. After an hour or so, he’d be half a mile out front. Slowest I saw was 41 going up big hills, close to mid 60’s going downhill. I think I was told that the highest MPG was 107.
