I need some tyre advice

I need some tyre advice

The front tyre on the Vrod is just about knackered. It’s down below the markers, and the rubber has gone hard as the hobs of hell.

I got her with a Dunlop Sportmax 120/70ZR19 on the front and a similar looking ‘HD’ branded Dunlop on the back. I don’t know much about tyres for them, so looked on a few of the Yank forums. Over there they seem to universally pan the Dunlops, citing them as being heavier than comparable Metz tyres, and with a lot less grip. Given that some of the advice doled out also includes things like running the tyres at the max inflation pressure marked on the sidewall for optimum life – I think it’s reasonable to take some of it with a pinch of salt tho.

It’s a safe guess there’s not a big pool of Vrod owners on here, and I dunno whether anything else here uses that size of tyre, or whether tyre performance is similar across different sizes – but was wondering if anybody has any recommendations on a tyre for her (and preferably something other than the Dunlop) ?
