I’ve got a uk reg bike that’s been sitting in my garage for about 8 years. Racing, a big off at Mondello followed by twins got in the way. I’ve just got a new job and want to drag it out for commuting across town. However, I don’t want to import it. Once I’ve got my eye back in I want to trade it up for something I can tour on. I plan to sell it (in uk) and properly import it’s replacement. Question is this; can I insure a uk registered bike over here? I know all about revenue stuff but I only want to run it for about 6 months till my probation is over and I then I can commit to spend money on the replacement.
