Hey guys,

I’m in the middle of searching for my first bike and I viewed a great looking bike recently. A price was agreed and cash was transferred but upon a closer inspection, the engine number did not match the number in the logbook. The frame number was correct but not the engine.

I was devastated by this and proceeded not to go through with the sale, on the advice of a friend who was with me when viewing the bike. The owner was not upfront with this information.

Was I right to walk away?
