Hi everyone,

First of all, would like to say that although this is my first post, I have been a lurker for almost a year now on this forum and it has been a wealth of information to me, a bike loving foreigner. It allowed me to learn about bikes and riding in Ireland and for that I want to thank you all wonderful people who make this place exist and thrive.

Second, I’m not sure if this is the right place to post. In case it isn’t, if a moderator could move the post to the correct area of the forum I would be greatly appreciated.

Now, for the story. I left my bike in my home country when I moved here and since then I have been going crazy due to not having it with me so I can ride everywhere and enjoy the beauty that is Ireland, weather permitting 🙂 Well, that craziness is about to end. See, in a few days I will be buying a motorbike! Due to this, I reach to this corner of the internet and you all in need of guidance once more.

I live in Cork city and the house I rent has neither indoor nor outdoor space for me to keep my bike. At the moment moving to another house is not feasible which leaves me the option of renting a space to keep the bike. Meanwhile I will keep it stored at a friend’s house but only for a short term.

So my question is, does anyone know of a garage/storage/space I could rent in the city centre, preferably in the Opera House/north side area? Would have to be a secure and closed, dry space that I could access at any time, you never know when the urge will hit you to go for a few miles in the wee hours of the morning and end up having breakfast on another county or even country 🙂
