I have got an invite to meet some friends on the continent (France probably) with a view to travelling down to Asturias Northern Spain in late June. Its short notice for me as only got the invite yesterday. Looking at the ferries across to Cherbourg/Roscoff it looks like getting a cabin would be a problemas all the reasonably priced ones seem to be unavailable for my dates. Anyone travelled using the "recling seat" option?
Also where is a decent enough place south of cherbourg/roscoff within reasonable travel distance to stay overnight.
Any other advice/tips on travelling over on ferry etc. would be appreciated.
