Now that the summer has arrived I am seeing more bikes out down my part of the country, probably taking in the scenery after work. Great to see it

but…

I have lost count of the number of bikes I see heading home late in the evening without tail lights. This particular area is full of boy racers, farmers and oil trucks. Most of whom are too busy looking at their phone on the road to the city as soon as they start getting coverage again.

I’m not asking you to wear hi viz and light up like a christmas tree, just when you are heading out for your evening spin, check that you have enough lights front and rear to get you home in one piece.
