Three men arrested and charged with performing a ‘lewd act’ in a porn shop appeared before a judge in the Circuit Court the following day.

He asks the first man to stand: "What is your name?" he asked.

"John," the man answered.

"And why were you arrested?" the judge asked.

"I was by the magazine rack in a porn shop holding a big fat cigar and blowing smoke." he answered.

The judge didn’t see anything lewd or seriously wrong with that, so he find the man €300 for a smoking offence.

The judge calls the second man to stand.

"What’s your name?" he asked. "John," the guy answered. "Oh, another John? And why were you arrested?" the Judge asked.

“I was by the magazine rack in a porn shop holding a big fat cigar and blowing smoke." he answered.

Again, the judge saw nothing offensive, and fined the man €300 for a smoking offence.

‘This so-called porn shop is beginning to sound more like a smoking club!’ he thought.

He calls the third and final man accused to stand.

"What’s your name?? No wait, let me guess, it’s another John?" he said.

"Yes, it is, your Honour, but everybody calls me ‘Smoke’."
