Local road race heroes Michael and William Dunlop will come up against a top class field of international stars at this weekend’s Armoy road races.

Last year’s man-of-the-meeting Guy Martin will join William in the Tyco BMW outfit for the Open races, with Michael also on board a BMW machine.

Yorkshire’s Dean Harrison will ride for Mar-Train Yamaha, while Keith Amor competes for the Rig Deluge team.
Ryan Farquhar and Jeremy McWilliams lead the KMR Kawasaki challenge.

The Northern Ireland duo will be highly fancied for success in the Supertwins class, where they will be joined in the team by Canadian Darren James, who made an impressive debut at the North West 200 in May.
Among the other leading entries are James Cowton, from East Yorkshire, plus Republic of Ireland pair Derek Sheils and Derek McGee.

Meanwhile Ballymoney rider Seamus Elliott will make his debut for the Wilson Craig Honda team, fresh from a victory in the 600cc class at the recent Southern 100 meeting on the Isle of Man.
Martin will ride a 650cc Supertwin for the Cookstown BE Racing team and England’s Conor Behan links up with the Air Kawasaki outfit for the popular national road race.

Michael Dunlop will be looking to retain his crown in the feature ‘Race of Legends’ event, after triumphing last year.
Practice will take place on Friday, followed by Supersport race one, with an 11-race programme to follow on Saturday.
