Faugheen 50 vrs bishopscourt masters

Just to let everyone know we have been assured from on high that the masters round at bishopscourt will be moved to the Saturday rather than the Sunday as it clashes with our road race in August

For all riders we have made a change in the running order that should give you all loads more track time.
We are going to have two timed practise runs for all classes on Saturday as pretty much everyone agrees one five lap spin is not enough and puts you under too much pressure
We will run the first non championship open race on sat evening and maybe a small support and classic time permitting.
The second open championship race will be first away Sunday morning.

The last race of the day will be the grand final, not just another open race and will be invitation only for the fastest 21 eligible riders from all classes
We will have to put in a minimum qualifying time to avoid lads getting lapped but it shouldn’t be a problem. ( first year support riders are excluded)
All riders who qualify for he final will receive a trophy and we will be paying prize money as far down as we can. Hopefully this will give us a full grid for the grand final rather than having 7 lads going for one big cheque. As most of the superbike lads have 600’s as well I think we should see a good few senior support bikes and 650’s make it into the grand final.

There is an enormous amount of work going into this meeting , the only road race south of Dublin ( well, it’s actually only an hour and a bit from the red cow as it’s motorway pretty much all the way) and to keep it going we need to fill both the grids and the ditches! we’ve decided to make these changes to give everyone a chance of a trophy and a few bob, all the grand final riders will be called to the podium to receive their award at the end of the day as well as the top 3 from all the other classes so get your cheesy grin prepared.

The entry forms will be sent out next week I believe but anyone not on the mailing list can contact me or the race secretary via our FB page

Our aim in faugheen is to promote a friendly, fun meeting where everyone can have plenty of miles on their bikes, crack in the paddock, enjoy racing in front of a crowd that waves at everyone first to last and think all the riders are mad but great, and head home with a trophy in your pocket or a least a smile on your face and a weekend to remember
