Nifty Fifty – Thanks

Nifty Fifty – Thanks

Hi Guys,

I’d just like to start off with a huge thanks the owner of the Biker.ie site for allowing me to promote and organise the Nifty Fifty through this site for the last 6 years. Its a fantastic site and long may it last!

Next I’d like to thank Mondello Park, Ian and Roddy could not have been more helpful to me this (and previous) years. They are genuinely good guys and are keen to see the event prosper as it does.

Every year Jim and Maeve McDonnell travel all the way down from Norn Iron to act as COC and ACOC for us. All on their own dime and always with a great attitude. Their experience and good will means I don’t have to worry once the flag goes down to start the race. Thanks to you both. Also thanks to Sheila and Terry Logan, Sheila can strike fear into all who come looking to sign on in the tower and this means it runs faster and better!

On the Pit lane Ed and Paula Bartley-Griffin stood all day with their team in the cold checking wristbands at the end of the pit lane, Thanks so much! I lasted 25min before my hands were numb!

Thanks to all the Marshals and Medical teams, you were great and so professional. We are very lucky to have sure well prepared teams at our races.

Huge thanks to Paul Bathe and his technical team. I have have lots of emails saying that the tech inspection was very smooth, well manned and very fast. They were eagle eyed patrolling the pit lane and garages making sure that all riders and bikes were safe all day. Thanks guys!

Thanks to all the Media people who came to take pictures and write articles. Without you half the teams would not have the fantastic pictures of themselfs that they do and the word and legend of the Nifty Fifty would not grow and spread as it does.

Thanks to Big Man Andy and Magnets for their commentary all day. Great laughs were had and no one was safe from a slagging!

Thanks to the Blackchurch for allowing me to run this event through the club. Also thanks to Derek and Jordan from the Blackchurch as they did great work on the Pitlane all day.

Finally, thanks to all the riders and teams. I hope you enjoyed yourselves and Il see you all again next year!

All the best,

Ed
