2 stroke firing issue

2 stroke firing issue

started rd 350 lc tonight for the first time after complete engine rebuild.

initially running on one cyclinder so removed carb on the non firing side and found sticky float and petrol inlet port.
WD40ed this and petrol is now filling into the carb bowl.
Put back together and bike started
both downpipes were red hot, however the side with the earlier sticky float was not as hot, now youd stick to both but the sticky carb side just felt take bit colder(hard to know when i could barely touch them). The sticky carb side is also a bit more smokie out the back.

Engine seems to be running sweet, ticking over lovly just over 1k rpm.
The pump is sending up the TS oil evenly to both carbs from what i can see.
Does’nt seem like i have misfire.

I then took it up the road for a spin not going above 4 to 5K rpm and she was running extremely high on the temp gauge and boiled out of the expansion tank . (it was full of coolant).

Have i still got an intermittant float problem or have i scored the cyclinder earlier when it wasnt firing. Any ideas?

cheers.
