I bought a 2005 Aprilia rsv1000r in the new year and have only done about 500km on it so far. I went for a quick spin today and noticed the dash backlight, indicators and headlights were flickering. When I got home I took off the seat cowl and had a look. There was a spade connector disconnected and looking a bit like the tape around it had melted.

I connected it back up and the lights seem fine again but the dash has reset back to zero (odometer is fine) and the tacho is jumping to 6k before starting. Anyone know what the wire is connected to and what the error code is? I was stuck for time so couldn’t investigate further but took a pic
