Before I go ripping the stater out. 93 shadow 1100.

Was on an optimate all long wasn’t started with a few weeks went to start today couple of slow turn overs then nothing. Put a power pack on nothing not even a click from solenoid.

Put a spanner across the top of solonoid couple of slow swings then nothing only reddening the spanner.

When I put volt meter on light power wire on solonoid and press the

button I get current. Put meter on starter side of solonoid and press button got zilch.

That’s why I overrode the solonoid.

An odd time I hear a little kinda of tap noise near air box no where near solonoid.

Finally take out two plugs and direct power to starter and it will swing away fine???
