Just picked up a 1984 BMW R100RS (78k miles). I have a few questions that I am struggling to find answers to online:

-The left carb pisses petrol even when turned off via tap unless engine is running. But stops when the right carb is turned off via tap. I was considering rebuilding both carbs of is it possible just the tap is fecked?

– Idles high (3k) and misfires over 4k. Was thinking carb related or possibly in dire need of new plugs?

-I believe the valve clearances should be checked on these every 5k miles because they tighten over time and you run the risk of fecking a valve. Is that overkill or something to keep on top of?

Finally is there any decent site/shop for ordering the basics in terms of oil filter/plugs etc?
