Changed the chain – Broke the bike.

Changed the chain – Broke the bike.

Hi guys, quick question.

Changed the chain and sprockets on the 125 varadero this Monday. Topped up the oil, topped up the brake fluids. That’s it, nothing else. The bike started on the stand, went through all the gears etc.

Tried to start the bike yesterday to bring it for a spin, and nothing.

There was petrol in the tank, the motor turned over, kill switch was off, stand was up. I tried starting it 10-15 times with both choke closed and open, each time the engine kept turning over, until the battery died.

What could be the possible issues to cause this?

My best guess is the bike didn’t start because of the cold – it has a tough time starting on a cold morning, and the last few days were absolutely freezing.

I didn’t get a chance to look at the spark plugs, but not ruling out that theres no spark.

Getting off work early to try and fix the fecker by tonight, so any ideas what to look for?

Cheers in advance,
