So, my ’01 R1 is out in RPM giving problems with acceleration below 2000 revs. The lads out there reckon, due to wear and tear, the crank breather is forcing exhaust gases into the airbox. With the breather pipe off, it’s running fine, but blowing smoke everywhere and that’s not really a viable solution. They said if I can get an aftermarket filter for the breather pipe, it should solve the problem. Anybody got any ideas where I would source said filter and has anybody else experienced this problem. If so, how did you solve it. I suppose it could just be valve seals that need replacing, but it also could be piston rings which is a bit of big job to bore out ring and replace pistons with oversized ones.
