after drilling the original exhaust in the fazer i was happy with the sound until somelad in a gixxer pulled up beside me in athenry and showed me what a proper exhaust sounds like,fuck this says i ,so i decided to cut the original exhaust in two and pull out the guts(not just as easy as that),i cut it in the centre of the exhaust hanger strap so i could put it back together without making it obvious i fucked with it.anyway cut it ,pulled out two plates and 4 pipes out of it then got a 50mm pipe with 40million holes in it from another exhaust and stuck it in,packed around it and walla,sounds fantastic,loud grumble at idle but not much louder higher up the revs,travelling at 60 in 6th gear at 5k revs and i cant hear the exhaust over the wind noise unless i rev it so it cant be stupid loud.anyway saved me forking out for a new can and i have the satisfaction of doing it myself,also shortened the original by 60mm i didnt want to go much shorter incase it got louder i dont know would it.
